Aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm - The aorta - Life after an aortic dissection

I hope all is well with everyone. I've been busy working on contacting the right people in order to get some retraining as I mentioned before. So far I've been coming up empty handed, but I'm trying to stay positive.

I was wondering something though, does anyone else get annoyed from time to time with the noise that their machanical valves make? Today is one of those days for me. Don't get me wrong, sure it's a sound that let's me know that it's still working, I just wish they could have made a quieter version. Lol.

Bernie, over time you will get used to it.. or more like me come to a truce with it as a VERY necessary/posive side effect of your AD! Try hugging a pillow against your chest and sleep on your side - that helps a lot to muffle the click. tick. thump!

cheers
