Aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm - The aorta - Life after an aortic dissection
Mon 7/11/11 - 4 days out from surgery - I told Cheryl I'd post something for her. Progressing well and everyone is amazed at how well she is doing - Doctor says much further than he expected. Tubes out, spinal tap out, eating solids, walked first time Sunday evening and more today, received some Occupational and Physical Therapy today. Cheryl is relieved it doesn't hurt her ribs as much as initial surgery in 04. Most trouble is feeling very tired and staying on top of pain. They are suspecting an earlier release than initially thought due to her progress. Yeah!!
Thank you again for all your support and optimistic thoughts!
Cheryl's sister, Carmen
