Post Operative Update

HI all,

finally a few, limited, moments on the PC - wifes orders!

I came home on the 16th after the second opp & will write about this later. Can't thank all the staff, nurses pre & post opperative teams & of course my surgeon at the Royal Brompton!

My family & friends and of course all the people who have supported my on this site/blog.

Life is truly worth living, even in this emotional & phyical state I feel. Coming home was like being re born & worth the fight now & going foward.

Post opp issues of course is the ongoing pain management, eye sight has been shot to pieces & lost my voice ( looks like for several weeks - but curable). Can't comment on much as i am on an emotional & physical roller coaster & need to settle down, get into a routine & focus.

Thinking of all you!

Comment by Kimberlee Jones on August 29, 2011 at 18:25: Don't be too in a hurry..listen to your body. I think one of the mistakes I made post op was trying to do to much. I thought I was super mom and with my new and 5th baby I thought I could do it all right away...boy was I wrong. I developed another less severe dissection just a month after my initial surgery, so take it easy. Remember we are here for you.
