Hi Elaine,

September 6 will be 4 months for you since you had the AD right? Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind words on the book. Patient reviews really mean a lot. In a recent endorsement of the book, Amy Yasbeck said the Marathon is "more than just a metaphor". I cannot agree more. The Marathon was a big thing for me personally, but the point is that everyone has their own "marathon". I'm sure you'll find yours if you haven't already. For some people it may not have anything to do with fitness or exercise, but it is something they cling to and it gets them through it all. Nice to hear from you Elaine! If you get a moment it would be great if you could post reviews on Goodreads.com and Amazon.com.

Hi Ben

I finished reading your book at 05.00 this morning and I blame you for how tired I feel at the moment. I have to say it was worth it as I found the book and your story very inspirational although I am not planning on taking part in the London marathon!. In my 20's I used to run around 60 miles a week and unfortunately my knees are pretty knackered now. I can jog,or should I say I could jog before the surgery and I haven't tried it yet. I will start by power walking as reading your story has given me some food for thought.I needed a bit of a push as I have been a bit lazy lately. Thank you for the book.

Regards

Elaine

About to download to my kindle too.  I look forward to reading.  I imagine I should probably grab a box of tissues first?

*hugs*

Hi Ben, just got your book delivered to my Kindle.  Read the first chapter and I knew I had to read the rest.  I think your hunger for knowledge about our situation may help to answer some of the questions I still have.  I trawl the internet but there is nothing quite the same as first hand knowledge, experience and information. I live in Spain and have a great problem with the language.  I do speak Spanish and understand it but I think I do miss the finer points especially with the Medics. Thanks for bothering to write it.  Its great to not to feel alone on this very unstable roller coaster.  I must get back to my Kindle. Lol  Julia XX
