Tens Machine anyone?

HI All,

I have been thinking about using a Tens Machine to help control some of the shoulder & back pain I get. I know it’s not advisable for heart patience but I have had the OK from my surgeon & was wondering if anyone else uses or has tried one?

Your thoughts/comments appreciated.

Thank

Harry

Got a Root and Ascending Aortic Aneurysm

Hello to all you fine people.

I have read many stories or posts here, over the last month or so. Was glad to see that people from different Countries were members and posting here since I didn't really find any active boards for the US.

I'll be 60 in Feb 2012, here is what brought me to sign up here, though it is the latest of Diagnoses on the chain.

I was diagnosed with a 5.27 cm Aortic Root Dilation and moderate dilatation of Ascending Aorta, by Echo at the…

Pain clinic was a total waste of time!

I put off going to a recommended physical therapy place by a friend who helped me through my first surgery, because I did research online and found a pain clinic that sounded like a fit for me.  I'm still trying to deal with post surgery effects - especially my sciatic nerve and my legs.  I'm 12 weeks post, have cut down to 1 or 2 pain pills a day from the original 12 - back on the treadmill (granted not more than 2.4 at this point for a half hour) but it gets my blood flowing and helps me…

more on the leg problem!

I forgot to say, the doctor checked my husbands pulse in his left and right groin and said they were both good and strong. He is medically managed (AD type B) and is still well controlled regards his BP. I just feel so scared for him

Leg pain

Went to see the doctor last night, and he thinks the pain at the top of the right leg could be related to my husbands AD. He said he will contact his Consultant, but obviously now my hubby is thinking really bad stuff about his leg....poor circulation/risk of losing his leg......we tried to go for a short walk today, but once again 200 yards and he was in so much pain. Other than this, my husband feels quite well, he is sleeping better and has a good appetite. Everything is OK when he is…
