Healing times & suggestions?
Hi All
After my first opp, repair of the descending arch & valve, it took a good 8/9 months to start to feel normal again.
This time around I had a Dacron implant from the rear of the left shoulder. The healing is going well after seven months, but it’s not back to normal yet. I still feel pain along the scar & general tissue / muscle ache, especially after exercise, & wondered generally how long it’s taken you.

I've tried, so many times, to write my story, but I can't seem to get the words out. In the beginning, I was depressed so much, feeling like I'd lost so much of myself. Warm Welcome
Hi Graeme
Thanks for the warm welcome. I will be chatting and learning from this site. Did you have Type B descending as well and how is it being treated? I will know if I will need a stent after they do a cat scan or if meds alone will help it.
Thanks for this site.

Type A was repaired through surgery and Type B will be treated with medication until a couple of months when they will do a scan to see if I can continue with meds or otherwise have a stent put in. I will be posting information if I feel it will be…
