Bad News, Good News

I have been feeling so well lately, taking on the cross trainer was one of the best things I have done and it really gave my recovery the kick start it needed. I had begun to think that I had reached the plateau of my recovery, which was good, I certainly wasn’t complaining, but deep down inside I was hoping for better.Since gradually building my time and difficulty on the cross trainer I have really come on leaps and bounds, and the strength is returning in to both my right arm and leg and my…See More

Marion's Story Type B AD

It took me a while for me to get round to sharing my story, writing it down seems somehow to give my experience substance, but if we don’t talk about it who will. I am a successful 52 year old woman living in a small village in the north of England; I have 4 children, 6 grandchildren and hopefully no more on the way.

I woke up on June 6th 2008, life was good my new business was growing and after years of working hard to bring up my family, my husband and I were on our own and looking… Continue

Hi Marion,

Thank you so much for your kind reply. It sounds like I have come to the right place.
It will be good to read some of the stories on here when I have a minute to myself.
I have just read your story and it made me feel very emotional. It has only been 9 months since my dissection and the feelings that you described are very similar to mine. In a way it is good to hear that people are having the same ups/downs and worries as I am. It makes me realise I am probably reacting in a normal way, rather than overreacting.
Youe story is a positive one, hopefully one day I will be able to tell a similar tale.

I am going to see if I can find the ladies that had a dissection after they gave birth. Maybe I can have a chat with them with them and see how they are feeling.

Thanks again for your comment and good luck for the future,

Trudy x
